Neon Collapse
If Neon Collapse sounds familiar that's probably because you have seen the finished product as one of my main showcase items.
Team: Solo project. The only thing I didn't make is the good art (The big red fire guy, the player ship, and the basic enemies). A few design elements/ideas were bounced off other students.
Development time: 42 hours, over 2 weeks.
I was able to create:
- Basic player controls
- Basic mothership functionality
- Wave system
- 3 unique bosses
- 2 unique secondary weapons
- 1-2 player functionality

My prototype for Neon Collapse was a success as the team could see the potential it had over our current (at the time) project - a PVP tower defense game prototype. The team could envision Neon Collapse as being a greater success, so they decided to develop/work on it. I worked on both the tower defense prototype as well as developing my own Neon Collapse prototype. The prototype then set the foundation for our project, helping make our finished game one of only two games to ever be released by LaSalle College.
